Its six months after the events of 'House of 1000 Corpses'. The sadistic Firefly family are awakened in their home by police outside - led by Sheriff John Quincy Wydell. The game is up and their crimes have been discovered. The family (including Baby, Mama, Otis and Rufus - Tiny is missing) arm themselves and begin a shoot-out with the cops. Rufus is killed and Mama stays behind with his body and is arrested. However, two of the most dangerous members of the family - Baby and Otis - escape.

Otis and Baby trick a passing woman to steal her car. Baby lies down in the road and pretends to be injured. When the woman steps out of her car, Otis attacks and kills her and the two set off in her car. They call Baby's father, Captain Spaulding, who arranges to meet them at a run-down motel. The two then force their way into a room where a travelling country band Banjo and Sullivan are staying. The band consists of two couples and their roadie. Otis shoots the roadie and they keep the band hostage. Otis and Baby mentally torture the group, forcing one woman to strip whilst Otis molests her with a gun. Finally, Otis takes the two men of the group out in the car to help dig up some guns her buried. Out in the desert, one of the men tries to attack Otis, who then kills both of the men easily.

Back at the motel, Baby plays mind games with the women--Wendy and Gloria--forcing them to hit each other just so Wendy can use the toilet. When Baby allows Wendy to go to the bathroom, she tries to escape, screaming and banging and smashing the window. Gloria then steals Baby's gun and threatens to shoot her. Baby pleads while Gloria shouts to her friend that its ok to come out, that she has the situation under control. However, as the bathroom door opens, Baby throws a knife into Gloria's chest and kills her. Before she dies, Baby reveals to her that the gun Baby was holding them hostage with was not even loaded. Wendy rushes through the door crying and begins to run away from the hotel. Wendy bumps into a passer who happens to be Captain Spaulding and with a shout of 'Grab that bitch!' from Baby, Spaulding headbutts Wendy and carries her back into a motel. Otis returns with the guns and a mask made from the skin and hair of Adam, and he forces Wendy to wear it. Now reunited, Spaulding, Baby, and Otis decide to leave the motel and seek out Spaulding's brother, Charlie Altamont. They decide to leave Wendy behind lashed to the door of the motel room, and she is discovered by a maid. Set free, Wendy goes berserk and rushes out of the motel. In a blind panic, she rushes into the highway and is crushed when a large truck runs over her.

Meanwhile, Wydell slowly begins to lose his sanity, when during his attempt to interrogate Mother Firefly for the whereabouts with her kin, she reveals that she murdered his brother George (an event that occurred in the first film). Later, after having dreams of his brother urging him to avenge him, Wydell stabs Mother Firefly to death.

Charlie Altamont offers Otis and the others shelter from the police. After leaving Charlie's whorehouse to purchase some chickens, Charlie is threatened at gunpoint by Wydell to give up the Fireflys. With the help of a pair of amoral bounty hunters known as the "Unholy Two", the sheriff takes the family back to the Firefly house where he delights in torturing them in ways similar to the methods they used on their own victims. He nails Otis's hands to his chair and staples crime scene photographs to Otis' and Baby's stomach, as well as taunting Baby about the death of her mother.

He lights the house on fire and leaves Otis and Spaulding to burn while taking Baby outside to murder her. Charlie Altamont returns to save the Firefly family, but is brutally axed by Wydell. It is only the last minute intervention of Tiny that saves the Firefly family; the giant returns and snaps Wydell's neck. The Rejects are saved and share a brief tearful reunion. Tiny decides to go back into the burning house to die alone and Otis, Baby, and Spaulding escape in Charlie's car. The film's final scene has the trio driving into the middle of a police barricade, with no sound heard except Lynyrd Skynyrd's Free Bird. As the tempo of the last portion of the song increases, they grab their guns and go forward in a final blaze of glory, being shot to death by the police.

Along the night, Joey, the Russian and the Italian mobster and the dirty cops chase the little boy trying to retrieve the gun and disclose who ordered the boy to shoot his stepfather.

Having been wrongly convicted of murdering both his wife and her lover, Andy Dufresne is sentenced to two life sentences, and is sent to the notoriously harsh Shawshank Prison. During his first night, the barbaric treatment by prison guards, most notably the chief guard Byron Hadley, leads to the death of a fellow new inmate. About a month later, Dufresne becomes acquainted with Ellis Redding, also known as Red, and his friends. A friendship begins after Red, "the man who knows how to get things", procures a rock hammer for Dufresne, an object he wishes to own in order to pursue a hobby in rock collecting.

Over the first few years of his imprisonment, Dufresne works in the prison laundry service, and is dogged by threats and harassment, and instances of rape by a group of sadistic homosexuals known as the "Sisters". Andy's former life as a banker and his knowledge of accounting and income taxes come to the attention of Hadley during an outdoor work detail, and after assisting the chief guard with an inheritance sum, Andy is moved to work with Brooks Hatlen in the library, where he shortly sets up a make-shift office to deal with finance related queries brought to him by various guards. His practice becomes so popular that even opposing guard teams in an inter-prison baseball match bring work to him. While working within the library, Dufresne begins to canvas support for improving the library at a relentless pace. When Andy is brutally raped again, the prison guards commit vigilante punishment against the offender, and it becomes clear that they are now protecting Dufresne from the mistreatment. When the rapist is permanently hospitalized, Andy's victimisation comes to a close.

Warden Samuel Norton soon capitalises on Dufresne's ability and deduces a program to put prison inmates to work for local contracts in construction, road-building, and other labour intensive projects. Dufresne is corruptly employed to hide the embezzled funds for Norton, and he does this by 'creating' an alternate fraudulent identity through which all the paperwork is completed. In the same year, the prison library is extended and Dufresne begins educating inmates to pass high school diplomas. A young prisoner named Tommy enters Shawshank in 1965 who corroborates Andy's tale of innocence. Fearing the loss of the lucrative criminal funds that Andy administers, Norton has Tommy killed and Andy sent to solitary confinement. Two months later, Andy returns to the main enclosures a seemingly broken man, giving abstract instructions to Red, and his friends are concerned that he may commit suicide. The following morning, he is missing from his cell and an investigation is launched.

Following the events that led to his departure, it becomes clear that Andy Dufresne escaped the prison having tunnelled through the walls with the rock hammer given to him shortly after his arrival. Having chronicled the corruption within the prison, he sends his notes to a local newspaper, and walks away with Norton's fortunes, dressed as the man 'with the bank accounts'. Refusing to be arrested, Norton commits suicide. When Red is finally released from prison, he follows the instructions given to him by Andy to find a further note hidden beneath a tree, which eventually leads him to meet Andy on the coast of Mexico.

The film begins in the locker-room fill of teenage girls, including Carrie White (Sissy Spacek). Carrie gets her first period, and after becoming distressed, cries out for help. Instead of helping, the other girl ridicule and harass her. Teacher Miss Collins (Betty Buckley) rushes in to stop the commotion. White, who appears to be bottling extreme rage, snaps a light bulb. After questioning Carrie, Miss Collins realizes that Carrie is unaware of the concept of menstruation. Because of this, Miss Collins asks the school principal to excuse Carrie from gym class for a week because of the trauma. Upon her way home, Carrie uses her recently discovered telekinesis to stop a boy from teasing her. While at home, Carrie is tormented by her delusional mother (Piper Laurie), who locks Carrie in a closet and forces her to pray--she believes that Carrie received her period due to sinning.

Miss Collins, still livid about the incident, berates the other girls and forces them through a detention, deliberately physically exhausting them. The leader of the clique, Chris Hargensen (Nancy Allen), refuses to participate, and as punishment, is banned from the upcoming prom. Furious, she blames Carrie for her misfortune. Meanwhile, another one of the girls, Sue Snell (Amy Irving), feels guilty about her part in teasing Carrie, so she asks her boyfriend, Tommy Ross (William Katt), to take Carrie to the prom. Tommy begrudgingly agrees. After Tommy asks her to the prom, Carrie refuses, thinking that yet another trick is being played on her. After a comforting pep talk with Miss Collins, and after Tommy's further insistence, Carrie finally agrees to go to the prom with Tommy.

While everyone else is getting ready for the prom, Chris schemes with her boyfriend Billy Nolan (John Travolta) and best friend Norma (P.J. Soles) to get revenge on Carrie. They go to a farm and slaughter some pigs, drain their blood into a bucket, and place the bucket on one of the rafters in the school gym. Carrie asks her mothers permission to go to the prom. Her mother becomes unhinged at the suggestion, commenting that Tommy is only after her for sex and that this will lead her down a road to perpetual sin. This leads to a violent argument between Carrie and her mother; who uses her telekinesis to slam windows and doors in her home. After another fight between Carrie and her mother the night of the prom, Carrie uses her powers to push her mother into a bed and tells her that she must stop worrying.

Carrie and Tommy arrive at the prom, and Carrie begins to feel accepted by Tommys peers. Miss Collins relates to Carrie the story of her own prom, telling her she should cherish the memory forever. Carrie and Tommy dance together; Tommy has since fallen for Carrie and kisses her.

As per Chris instructions, Norma and some of Billys friends fix the ballots so that Carrie and Tommy are elected prom king and queen. They make their way to the stage, and Carrie finally feels what its like to be accepted.

Meanwhile, Sue sneaks into the prom and sees Chris and Billy under the stage. She realizes their plan: Chris is going to yank a cord and dump the pig's blood all over Carrie as she is declared prom queen. Sue rushes toward the stage frantically, but is intercepted by Miss Collins, who thinks that Sue is out to make trouble for Carrie after seeing that Carrie and Tommy are together. Miss Collins throws her out of the gym. At that exact moment, Chris yanks the cord, drenching Carrie in pig's blood.

The students gasp and look on in horror. Tommy is furious, but the bucket falls and knocks him unconscious. Carrie snaps and imagines that all of the students and faculty are actually laughing at her, which her mother had warned her would happen. Carrie uses her telekinesis to destroy the gym and kill her peers and teachers, including Miss Collins. As Carrie walks home, a firetruck is seen passing her. Chris and Billy, who safely witnessed Carrie cause the death of the entire student body, attempt to run Carrie over with Billy's car. Carrie uses her telekinesis to destroy the car.

When Carrie returns home, she draws a bath. After she cleaned herself, her mother appears, and tells her she was the result of a strange marital rape. Then, convinced that her daughter is an evil witch, she takes out a hidden knife and stabs Carrie in the back. Carrie falls down the stairs and stumbles away from her mother. When her mother corners her in the kitchen, Carrie uses her power to crucify her mother with kitchen tools. After the death, Carrie becomes wrought with guilt, and using the lit candles, sets her house ablaze. The home eventually collapses and Carrie dies amongst the debris.

Some time later, Sue, having survived the prom night catastrophe, is suffering from depression over the death of her peers. She experiences a nightmare in which she visits the location of Carrie's house. As she reaches down to put flowers on the burnt lot, Carrie's blood-stained hand reaches up from the rubble and grabs her. Sue then wakes up screaming in the arms of her mother.
